Payments and Refund – Wild Travel Safaris
Payments and refunds for Uganda Travel Safaris typically require a 30%–40% deposit to secure spots, with full payment due 30–60 days before arrival. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits often require full, immediate payment.
Tour operators typically structure refunds on a sliding scale depending on your timing. For instance, they apply 100% cancellation fees within 14–30 days of the trip, whereas earlier cancellations may offer you a partial refund.
When you book a safari in Uganda, the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) governs the payment and refund terms for permits. Meanwhile, individual tour operators manage the specific terms for the remainder of your package.
Booking and Payments
You confirm a safari booking by paying 40% of the agreed total price.
If your safari includes gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, you must pay for those permits in full. Furthermore, the 40% booking rate does not include these specific costs.
The balance is required 30 Days before the arrival (commencement of the Client’s tour)
We accept two modes of payment;
- Wire/Bank Transfer: With this method, funds take 3 to 4 days to reflect in our account.
- Visa/Mastercard: We also accept credit card payments. However, this incurs a 5% charge to the service provider, payable by the Client.

We will refund the Client depending on the conditions mentioned below; 100% if Wild Travel Safaris LTD cancels the safari
