Our 7 Day wildlife Kidepo and Murchison Falls Safari takes you on an adventurous conjoined wildlife safari to Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park. It will allow you to have the ultimate excursion into the beauty that lies in two of the most popular national parks in Uganda.
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up from your Hotel and drive you to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive through Masindi town for lunch en route after proceeding to Murchison.
Arrive at Murchison Falls National Park, drive to the top of the falls for a breathtaking sight of the Nile, and enjoy nice views of the Nile where it explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a river—dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise.
Have breakfast in the morning and drive to the Park’s northern bank for an amazing game drive, expecting to see various animals in their natural habitats, including giraffes, lions, waterbucks, elephants, hyenas, buffalo, Uganda kobs, patas monkeys, and more, along with a variety of bird species.
After lunch, take a launch on the Nile. As you enjoy the cruise, expect to see crocodiles, hippos, elephants coming for water, and a variety of water birds like the African fish eagle, kingfishers, and herons—overnight and dinner at the Lodge.
Day 3: Murchison – Kidepo
Transfer to Kidepo for another thrilling wildlife adrenaline. After morning breakfast, check out of your Lodge and embark on your Journey to Kidepo National Park. Enjoy the spectacular sights along the way. You will journey to Kidepo in the evening and check into your Lodge. Spend the evening relaxing at your leisure.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in the Narus Valley.
Have breakfast in the morning and head out for a full wildlife experience. You have a game drive in the Narus Valley. The Narus River Valley in Kidepo Valley National Park has a large concentration of wildlife. Expect to encounter several herds of buffalo, elephants, and giraffes, as well as various bird species. You are also likely to encounter some predators, including cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.
In addition, the breathtaking, evergreen vegetation surrounding the Narus River Valley will impress you. Return to your Lodge for your lunch. In the afternoon, you will have another game drive in the Narus Valley. Expect to encounter several herds of buffalo, elephants, and giraffes, as well as various bird species.
Day 5: morning game drive & Cultural Tour in Kidepo Valley National Park
You will drive southward, still in the national Park, to visit the hot springs. While at the hot springs, you will encounter amazing views of ostriches, though their numbers keep decreasing due to high poaching rates.
While visiting the Ik people, you will gain deep insight into this small cultural union. You will spend almost the whole day in their community. Learn about their traditions, norms, and ways of life. Enjoy their traditional dances, songs, and folktales. Return to your Lodge for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.
Day 6: morning Game drive and Aruu Falls Visit.
Have breakfast in the morning and head out for a full wildlife experience. You have a game drive in the Narus Valley. The Narus River Valley in Kidepo Valley National Park has a large concentration of wildlife. Expect to encounter several herds of buffalo, elephants, and giraffes, as well as bird species, among others.
You are also likely to encounter some predators, including cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. In addition, the breathtaking evergreen vegetation surrounding the Narus River Valley will impress you. After lunch, proceeds to Aruu Falls for a thrilling, refreshing visit to the amazing waterfalls and takes an overnight in Gulu Town.
Day 7: Drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Kampala.
This morning, have breakfast and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the Rhino Tracking Nature Safari. Later, have an early lunch and proceed on your Journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
