Day 1: Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Pick up from a Hotel or place of residence after breakfast, and later, a briefing on what your 3-day Rwanda gorilla and Dian Fossey hike is all about. You will have a city tour in Kigali, where you will pay a visit to the Gisozi genocide site and nearby tourist sites. Later, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you are expected at the Kinigi offices for a briefing on the set gorilla trekking guidelines. You will be assigned to one gorilla family to track in a group of 8 visitors, and at 8:00 am, you will start your actual trek in Volcanoes National Park together with the Park Ranger guide assigned to you.
It may take you 2-6 hours, depending on your hiking speed, the habitat, and the location of the mountain gorillas, among other factors. After one hour of the gorilla encounter, return to where your trek began and connect to the Lodge for a rest. In the evening, you can choose to pay a visit to scenic Twin Lake-Burera and Ruhondo Lakes or chill around the Lodge.

Day 3: Dian Fossey tomb hike and drive back to Kigali
Today, you will enjoy your breakfast, and after that, you will embark on the Dian Fossey hike. It’s to help you understand the conservation legacy of Dian Fossey, who helped to save the lives of mountain gorillas. After, you will return and drive back to Kigali
