Our 7-Day Amazing Uganda Safari showcases the best of Africa, featuring magnificent game drives and gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. Explore the famous parks of Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to see true African game.

Day 1: Depart Kampala (Visit Ziwa & the top of the falls)

Leave Kampala after breakfast as early as 6:00 am, then head to the north of Uganda to Murchison Falls, passing through the flat Nakasongola landscapes. Divert off-road and drive for an extra 7 Km to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will spend some time tracking the magnificent white Rhinos that exist in this place. Afterwards, proceed to Masindi for Lunch.

In the afternoon, you continue on the drive to Murchison Falls Park and upon arrival, you will hike the top of the falls to take time to gaze at the splendid powerful waterfalls and listen to its roaring sound as it squeezes itself through the 7m ravine before falling 43m below the devil’s cauldron forming a plume of spray with a trademark rainbow at the greatest feature to have ever happened on the course of the Nile River which happens to be the longest river in the world. Check in at your Lodge.

7 Day Amazing One Week of Uganda SafariDay 2: Do Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Wake up very early for a cup of coffee and then drive to the northern sector of the Park for game drives to see various wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, Jackson hartebeest, Kobs, lion, leopard, giraffe, and much more; this will leave you with a taste of Africa’s savannah wilderness. Then return to your Lodge for relaxation and memory sharing.

After your stimulating lunch, gather and drive to the landing bay for a 2:00 pm boat cruise on the Nile. On this launch trip, you will see numerous bird species and both aquatic and land wildlife. If luck is on your side, you may spot the shoebill stork, while great sights of Nile crocodiles and hippos will highlight your Journey to the base of the falls. The three-hour boat ride marks the end of your day’s adventure.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest and Bigodi Wetland encounter

The drive to Kibale National Park. This Journey involves driving through the lush countryside, dotted with amazing features of earth movements, including the Albertine Rift Valley. The farmed landscapes bring out the typical African villages that you have always heard of or wished to see on your safari in Uganda.

Then stop for lunch in Hoima town, continue driving to Fort Portal, and then to Kibale Forest; take an afternoon walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a rewarding swamp walk with amazing bird sightings. Also, the communities around Bigodi offer a close touch of tourist-host interaction.

7 Day Amazing One Week of Uganda SafariDay 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Queen Elizabeth Crater Drive Explosion

Wake up early for a heavy breakfast, then gather at Kanyanchu at 08:00 am for a briefing. Afterwards, head to the forest in quest of Chimpanzees, our closest relatives.

Passing through the jungle of Kibale, dubbed the primate capital of the world with over 13 species of primates, the enchanting songs of Birds will keep you entertained.

Have one full hour of seeing the Chimpanzees; Watch them eat fruits, play, socialise and swing in tree branches as you take as many photos as you can. Return for lunch, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth, with scenic views of the magical Mountains of the Moon en route.

Stop at the Western Equator line and then embark on the crater drive for amazing scenic views. The range of explosion craters lies within a sequence that justifies the work of the earth processes that characterised the area. See Crater lakes like Lake Nyamunuka, Lake Nyinambuga, Lake Murumuli and Lake Kitagata.

Day 5: Do a game drive & a boat cruise in QENP

Wake up very early for a cup of coffee before setting off at 6:00 am for the game drive in the savannah game Park to see hyenas, lions, buffalo, elephants, elusive leopards (if very lucky), antelopes, and much more. Return to the Lodge and relax till lunchtime.

After lunch, gather at Mweya peninsula for a recreational afternoon lunch cruise exploring the magical offerings of Kazinga Channel: the sights of water birds and wild game drinking along the channel’s banks, the Nile crocodiles, and the Hippos. The channel stretches 45m from Lake George to Lake Edward. Return to your Lodge from the boat at 5 pm.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, Transfer to the Gorilla Homestead for Trekking in Bwindi. Along the way, pass through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, where you normally have chances of spotting Tree Climbing Lions lying on tree branches in the midmorning warm sunshine. Proceed to Bwindi in the afternoon, check into your Lodge for relaxation, and overnight.

7 Day Amazing One Week of Uganda SafariDay 7: Gorilla Trekking Day

The day of gorilla tracking from Gorilla Valley Lodge is a 30-minute drive to the Nkuringo/Nshongi/Mishaya/Kahungye group in South Bwindi.

At 7:45 am, you will be at the Offices of Bwindi Impenetrable NP for pre-briefing, and at 8:30, you will start the trek. Spend up to one hour observing the gorillas once you find them. Please return to the starting point by 7:00 pm. We recommend maintaining good physical fitness for this trek.

Day 8: Transfer to Entebbe for your Flight.

We will then bring you to Kampala or Entebbe airport for an onward flight. Stopping at the Uganda Equator for Pictures.
