Your female tour guide accompanies you throughout the journey, providing insight and interpretation as you experience Uganda’s sights and sounds. You will travel from Entebbe to Kampala, across to Lake Mburo, and finally to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest near the Congo border.

Our representative will meet you at Entebbe airport and transfer you to your Lodge in 10 minutes for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation: The Boma Guesthouse | Meal Plan: Dinner
Day 2: KAMPALA

Accommodation: Kampala Serena | Meals Included: breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 3: KAMPALA – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL Park
On day 3, we will travel westwards to Lake Mburo National Park. After Lunch at the Lodge, we will head out for an afternoon nature walk in the Park. The national Park is home to 68 mammal species, including zebra, impala, and buffalo, as well as 315 bird species, one of which is the rare shoebill stork.
Its sculptured landscape, with rolling grassy hills and an idyllic lakeside, has a varied mosaic of habitats – forest galleries, seasonal and permanent swamps, and rich acacia-wood valleys – which all support a wealth of wildlife.
Mihingo Lodge | Meals Included: breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 4: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL Park
We will enjoy a horseback safari across the rolling plains of the Park in search of the abundant wildlife. For novice riders, shorter rides are available, or perhaps a game walk is more your style. This afternoon, we enjoy an optional boat trip on Lake Mburo to view the area’s hippos and birdlife, or laze by the pool overlooking the plains far below.
Mihingo Lodge | Meals Included: breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 5: LAKE MBURO – BWINDI NATIONAL Park
On Day 5, we drive into the scenic Kigezi Highlands of southwestern Uganda and make our way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This ancient UNESCO World Heritage site offers breathtaking beauty. The local community owns the Lodge, but professional management maintains a very high standard, creating one of the best lodges in East Africa and a fitting base for our gorilla adventure. Later this afternoon, you can relax at the Lodge.
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge | Meals Included: breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 6: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
The day’s tracking of mountain gorillas is sure to be a highlight of your trip. We allow you to track gorillas from one of six habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone a delicate process that has gradually helped them tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period each day.
Tracking the gorillas can take several hours. Once we locate them, we will allow your group up to 1 hour with them.
Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge | Meals Included: breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 7: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
We will have the opportunity of gorilla tracking in the forest once more. The Park comprises 331 square kilometres of jungle forests, contains both montane and lowland forests, and is accessible only on foot. In addition to the incredible gorillas, the Park is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds, such as hornbills and turacos.

MIHINGO Lodge
- Mihingo Lodge, located on a ‘kopje’ (rocky outcrop) east of Lake Mburo National Park, is one of Uganda’s premier accommodations and offers over 10 activities in and around the Park.
- Varied Activities: Visitors staying at the Lodge can experience the Park’s wildlife on a horseback safari, a walking safari, a boat trip, or a day or night game drive.
- For those looking for a slower pace, a relaxing massage or a game of tennis are possible from the Lodge. The many decks offer rewarding game viewing without guests having to travel anywhere at all.
- A Stunning Package: We strung out the individually designed cottages across the kopje to offer varying views of the nearby waterhole and the national Park’s plains. This feature, combined with fine dining, an infinity pool, and personal service, makes Mihingo Lodge a ‘must-stay’ location on your Uganda safari.
CLOUDS MOUNTAIN GORILLA Lodge
- This Lodge truly lives up to its name in terms of exclusivity, furnishings and fittings, its spa, rooms, service and food. Perched on the Nteko Ridge, part of the Kigezi Highlands in southwestern Uganda, the Lodge is in the southern part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
- Warm and Plush Surroundings: Each of the beautifully appointed stone cottages has its own verandah and a fireplace for the frequently chilly nights you will encounter here, and the main lounge offers plush furnishing and individually commissioned works of art by Ugandan artists. The dining room and lounge offer an attractive setting in which to unwind and discuss the day’s activities with other fellow travellers.
- Attractions & Activities: From Clouds, you can track the Nkuringo, Nshongi, or Mishaya gorilla families. On days when you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can walk to local villages. Bwindi sits within the Albertine Rift, one of Africa’s most biologically diverse regions. This diversity shines through in local birding, with the area surrounding the Lodge hosting 23 endemic bird species.
KAMPALA SERENA
- Located in uptown Kampala, the Serena boasts 152 rooms and suites across six floors.
- An Oasis of Calm: The opulent Kampala Serena Hotel is the city’s premier 5-star Hotel. Outstanding business facilities, fabulously indulgent pampering and unlimited room choices are all located within 17 acres of water gardens. This first-class oasis offers a calm retreat in an otherwise chaotic capital city.
- 5 Star Luxury: The design reflects the very essence of Uganda, featuring lush vegetation, shimmering water features, and organic, earthy tones. The palatial layout blends luxury with pan-African panache, and we commissioned much of the artwork throughout the Hotel from local artisans.
