Hikers’ paradise, Bwindi will be the highlight of your safari thanks to trekking to meet the gorillas, accompanied by a ranger who will tell you the behavior to adopt when faced with animals. It is difficult to know in advance how long you will have to walk before seeing the primates because your progress will be subject to many unforeseen events.
So expect a long walk (between 2 and 8 hours) and often arduous, in a steep and muddy environment, sometimes in the rain. Good physical condition is, therefore, more than recommended.
