This 7 days safari in Kenya is the best choice for travelers who wish to see more of the Kenyan Safari Circuit within a week and therefore includes some amount of road travel. Places visited include some of the best safari holiday locations in Kenya, from the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, Ol Pejeta Conservancy near the Equator, Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru National Park. A typical Safari Itinerary is listed below. Note that prices vary depending on the month or season of travel, with July to October being peak season while April to mid June is low season.

Itinerary

Day 01: Start of your luxury Safari from Nairobi

Your Driver-Guide reports to your hotel for Start of the safari, with a 8am transfer to the luxurious Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, world famous for their wildlife conservation efforts and for their collection of amazing wildlife which includes the only place in Kenya and most of East Africa where one can spot Chimpanzee in environments close to their native forests. Arrive at the Sweetwaters Camp late morning, for check in after which you enjoy a sumptuous lunch. At 3pm embark on a adventure filled safari game drive inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Return to the camp by dusk at 6pm for dinner and overnight.

Day 02: Start the day with an early morning game drive in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

You will be taken on two gamedrives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm including a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your gamedrive timings are flexible, convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days.
Return to the camp by dusk at 6pm for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at Serena Sweetwaters Tented camp.

Day 03: Sweetwaters to Lake Nakuru

Depart after breakfast for the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park, a bird and rhino sanctuary, and home to a variety of wildlife. This lake is famous for its pink flamingoes. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. A late afternoon game drive will allow you to see the park’s rich, diverse wildlife. You will also be taken to a cliff view point overlooking the lake. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 04: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

After early morning game drive and a relaxed breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake which is a popular tourist spot in Kenya for locals and foreigners alike. Arrive in time for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure – the lodge we book at the lake offer beautiful natural spaces where you can see numerous bird species among the trees as well as spot some animals ranging from waterbuck to warthogs. You may also choose to book a one hour Lake Boat Safari at extra cost during which you get to see some of the lake’s wildlife such as hippos as well as enjoy the picturesque views of the lake and surrounding highland landscapes.

Day 05: Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, the safari now heads to Masai Mara. Arrive at your camp in Masai Mara for a leisurely lunch. Your afternoon game drive starts at 3.30pm, allowing spotting of the amazing wildlife in the reserve ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest. Our Driver-Guide will try his best to show you not just the ”Big Five” animals but the ”Big Nine” as well. Return to your tented camp by 6.30pm. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Game Camp

Day 06: Start the day with an early morning game drive in Masai Mara

You will be taken on two gamedrives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals at their most active. As your safari is private, your gamedrive timings are flexible, convenient if travelling with children or if on a honeymoon when you perhaps want to lie in longer on some of the days. You may also choose to have a full day game drive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the camp. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Game Camp.

Day 07: Return to Nairobi

At the break of dawn you embark on your concluding gamedrive in Masai Mara followed by a leisurely breakfast. Check out by 10am for a return road transfer for Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [ typically by 3pm] . Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
