9 Day Nile Fishing Adventure Sport Fishing Safari

Our 9 Day Nile Fishing Adventure Sport Fishing Safari takes you to Lake Victoria, the world’s second-largest freshwater body, to begin your sportfishing safari. Next, you will fish along the River Nile—the longest river in the world—as it flows through Murchison Falls National Park. After exploring Uganda’s largest Park, you will wind up your journey in Jinja City, the adventure capital of East Africa.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, our guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your Hotel for the night.

Day 2: Fishing on Lake Victoria.

Spend the entire day fishing on Lake Victoria, starting with a 45-minute boat trip from Entebbe to the local islands. Depending on the weather and fish behaviour, your guide will select the best fishing spots for the day.

If the lake becomes rough with large swells, you will instead utilise sheltered bays to ensure a productive sport-fishing experience. Finally, enjoy a lunchbox on the boat before returning to your Hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Fishing on Lake Victoria

You will spend this entire day fishing at different spots on Lake Victoria. Lunchbox on the boat, then evening return to your Hotel.

Day 4: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, start your drive to Murchison Falls, passing by Ziwa rhino sanctuary, home to the white rhinos, lunch in Masindi town and then proceed to the Park, driving by the top of the falls and heading to your Lodge in the Park.

Day 5: Fishing on the Victoria Nile

After an early breakfast, enjoy fishing on the mighty River Nile, and return to the Lodge for a hot lunch.

Day 6: Fishing at the bottom of Murchison Falls

After breakfast, go for an early morning fishing expedition at the bottom of the falls, where the Park derives its name. The Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap between the rocks and drops about 40 meters down to form the Murchison Falls.

Return to the Lodge for lunch, and later in the evening, you can choose to relax at the Lodge or go back for further discovery of the best spots to catch the Nile perch. You will surely have experienced the adventurous thrill of fishing on the Nile.

Day 7: Drive to Jinja

After your early breakfast, you will start the drive to Jinja, eastern Uganda. Lunch on the way, dinner and overnight in Jinja town.

Day 8: Fishing on Lake Victoria and the source of the Nile

After breakfast, head out for a morning of fishing on Lake Victoria. Following your excursion, return to the Hotel for lunch before embarking on a late-afternoon boat ride to the source of the Nile. At this famous spot, you will watch the world’s longest river begin its journey toward the Mediterranean Sea. Finally, enjoy the sunset across the water before ending your day with dinner and an overnight stay in Jinja town.

Day 9: Drive to Entebbe airport

After breakfast, drive to Entebbe airport for a flight back home.
