4 Days Sipi Falls Safari Explore Amazing Uganda typically combines the dramatic three-stage waterfalls with coffee tours, cultural immersions, and optional adrenaline activities like abseiling. Located in the foothills of Mount Elgon, Sipi is approximately a 5–6-hour drive from Kampala.
Day 1: Transfer to Sipi Falls, coffee tour
Have an early morning breakfast at your Hotel and head East of Uganda through Jinja road. During your travels, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mabira tropical rainforest, people selling chicken and beef on sticks, the beautiful Jinja town with a relatively ancient look and feel, a town famously known for harbouring the Great River Nile, tea, sugar, and rice plantations, and streams flowing through.
Arrive in time for Lunch at your Lodge, relax and go to the coffee farm to experience the coffee processing, a very exciting activity, and see how great locally made coffee turns out. Roast, grind and enjoy your own hand-made cup of coffee.
Day 2: Abseiling, Hike to the 3 waterfalls that lead you to an amazing cave adventure
Enjoy your adventure to the falls by abseiling and hiking on top of the falls. Fast hikers finish in under four hours, while first-time visitors often take longer, depending on their pace. On this trek, you will see rolling hills, local farmlands, and coffee plantations. You’ll also view Mount Elgon’s waterfall-carved cliffs, Kenya’s sights, and tiny crystals shimmering inside the caves.
Enjoy the view of the 3 waterfalls, which stretch 85m, 75m, and 100m. This sight is very pleasant and mind-relaxing, making it a great opportunity to pick your mat and meditate to the enchanting sounds of wild African waterfalls. It gives you a great view for photography and a refreshing African breeze to bless your safari. Have Lunch and enjoy your evening relaxing with a perfect view of the waterfalls.
Day 3: Rock painting, cultural trail and sunset walk
Head to the Kumi caves, some of the region’s oldest, to see ancient Stone Age artwork left by hunter-gatherers. These ancestors blessed the Teso people with a rich cultural heritage that remains visible today. After exploring, enjoy Lunch and a vibrant cultural encounter.
You will also discover the unique culture of the Sebei people. Their traditions will excite you and prompt questions for local exhibitors about their traditional foods, marriage ceremonies, and the historic practice of female circumcision.
Enjoy the cultural dance and a taste of Sebei cultural food (optional). You will get Lunch during the course of this tour, and we shall enjoy another beautiful and exciting activity, the sunset view! spend your evening soaked in the rather setting sunlight, which gives you a beautiful distant view of Lake Bisina, Sipi town, 2 waterfalls, and Mount Elgon. It is very romantic and a great sight for all to see.
Day 4: Transfer to Kampala
After enjoying your breakfast, you shall check out of the safari Lodge and head for Kampala. This transfer to Kampala may take you straight to your Hotel or the airport, depending on what you agreed with the company. End of safari!
