5 Day Chimpanzee with Wildlife Tour for Kibale Chimpanzees, a boat at Kazinga Channel, and a tree-climbing lions game drive.
Our 5 Day Chimpanzee with Wildlife Tour takes you to western Uganda to see Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, and later transfers you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and a game drive to look out for all the wildlife in the Park.
Day 1: We drive to Queen Elizabeth Ishasha Plains.
Here, as agreed, our guide meets you at your Hotel or residence and then begins the 6-hour drive to Mbarara for lunch. During your journey, expect to stop at the Uganda Equator for Pictures and continue with views of the green-changing environment and landscape.
So after the lunch in Mbarara, you then transfer to Ishasha, south of Queen Elizabeth National Park, for an evening game drive to look out for the lovely lions in the Trees. Take as many pictures as possible.
Accommodation: Enjojo Lodge, Ishasha Jungle Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp.
Day 2: Game drive at Ishasha Plains and a Boat cruise.
Have an early morning breakfast and lead your way for the morning Game drive in the Ishasha plains to look out for the big game mammals, see the salt lakes and later on drive to the north of Queen Elizabeth Park for your lunch and a 2:00 pm Boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel.
This channel cruise is one of them because you’re able to see so many different kinds of birds and wildlife on the water, like buffalo, Crocodiles, Elephants, Hippos, and much more. Then, after the Channel Cruise, enrol in an evening game drive in the Kasenyi plains to look out for the lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, and much more. Then go to the Lodge for a night.
Accommodation: Mweya Lodge, Kasenyi Safari Camp, Bush Lodge, Elephant Hub.
Day 3: Early morning Game drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest with a Bigodi Nature Walk.
So if you missed out on any of this in the previous game drive, start with an early morning game drive to try out lunch again, look out for more amazing moments with the wildlife, and later drive to Kibale Forest for lunch at the Lodge.
Afterwards, this afternoon your guide will be able to take you on the Bigodi Swamp Walk, the most Desired Swamp in Uganda with Natural Biodiversity and a large number of bird species.
Accommodation: Primate Lodge, Isunga Lodge, Kibale Forest Camp. Meal: FB
Day 4: Chimpanzee Habituation or Tracking Day.
Wake up and have a heavy breakfast. Then your guide will be able to take you to the visitors centre on time for the briefing, preferably before 8:00 am, meet the Park Rangers, and later join the primate jungle forest.
Because tracking is unpredictable, carry all the necessary items and go with them into the jungle. This evening, if you did chimpanzee tracking, you may decide to visit the crater lakes in the region, as there are over 50 in the area. Then later go to your Lodge.
Day 5: Visit Fort Portal and the Amabere caves and drive back to Kampala.
So this morning, go ahead to Fort Portal city and visit the cultural site of Amabere ga nyina mwiru, meaning “the Licking breasts.” Have lunch, then embark on the 5-hour journey to Kampala before it gets late.
