This 5 Day Uganda Gorillas Bwindi and Wildlife Safari Queen Elizabeth adventure takes you to two of the most popular parks in Uganda- Bwindi forest; home of the mountain gorillas and Queen Elizabeth national park; the Medley of Wonders. This safari features exciting gorilla trekking adventure, game drives and a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel plus a visit to the Batwa pygmy village.

Full Itinerary –

Day 0: Fly Nairobi/Entebbe – Uganda

Depart Nairobi and fly to Kampala. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, clear with Immigration/Health/Customs formalities. Thereafter, pick your luggage and take a short walk to international arrival lounge. Here, met by your Destination Africa dmc Ltd Uganda hosts, with a ‘welcome’ board bearing client or group name on it. Receive a hearty welcome as you are directed to the vehicle for a transfer to your hotel. Your luggage is loaded as you watch. Arrive at the hotel and assisted with check-in formalities. Meals on own account. Overnight at Hotel (Bed Only)

Day 1: Bwindi national park

This morning after an early breakfast, picked by your guide at 7.00 am, get prepared for a journey to Bwindi forest; home to over half the surviving mountain gorillas in the world. The road trip will last about 9 hours using the Kampala-Mbarara & Mbarara- Kabale routes with a stop-over at the Equator for pictures & souvenirs. Check-in at the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation options – Budget ( Broadbill camp, Rushaga havens ), Mid Range ( Icumbi gorilla lodge, Gorilla mist camp ) , Luxury ( Chameleon lodge, Clouds mountain gorilla lodge, Bwindi lodge)

Day 2 – Gorilla tracking begins

After early morning breakfast, pack your lunch + water and get ready to be transferred to the gorilla trekking information center for a briefing from UWA guides before you head into the misty jungles in search of the gorillas. Once the guide locates the gorillas, you will only be given an hour in their midst to take pictures and observe them interact, feed and play. Trek to the departure point where our driver guide will pick you up and transfer you back to the safari lodge or camp ending the gorilla trekking expedition. You can go for a community walk if time allows. Dinner and overnight stay at safari lodge or camp.

Day 3 – Transfer from Bwindi To Queen Elizabeth National Park

After early morning breakfast, check-out of the lodge/camp and prepare for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to up to 95 mammal species plus up to 600 bird species making it one of the best Uganda safari destinations. The road trip will last about 5 hours passing through the infamous Ishasha sector where you will get a chance to spot the rare tree climbing lions plus a few other species before you check in at the lodge or safari camp. Accommodation options – Bush Lodge or Simba safari camp (Budget), Marafiki safari lodge (Mid-range), Mweya safari lodge (Luxury).

Day 4 – Game drive & Boat cruise

After early morning breakfast, get ready for an adventure-filled day out in the wild. Our tour guide will transfer you to the Kasenyi plains; the best tracks for game drives in Queen Elizabeth park. Expect to encounter a variety of wildlife during the morning game drive including the lions, Uganda kobs, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, spotted hyenas, cape buffaloes plus numerous bird species. Return to the safari lodge/camp for lunch and relaxation as you prepare for yet another exciting activity. After lunch, our guide will transfer you to the Kazinga channel for a 2 hour boat cruise, expect sightings of the Nile crocodiles, Hippos, birds as well as animals resting or feeding on the banks. Dinner & Overnight stay at your safari lodge / camp.

Day 5- Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe airport

Enjoy your last cup of coffee in Queen Elizabeth park , check out and prepare for a road trip back to Kampala or airport. The road trip will last about 8 hours with a stop-over for lunch.
