2 Day Kibale Chimpanzee Safari in Kibale National Park
The 2 Day Kibale chimpanzee safari is one of the safari options in Kibale National Park, where you get a chance to track the chimpanzees in their world’s best national park and largest national family of chimpanzees at full control of the conservation forest.
With this chimpanzee safari, expect an ultimate natural experience, featuring wildlife and its natural surroundings, as well as a visit to the Bigodi wetland swamp for nature appreciation and birding.
Day 1: Drive to Kibale National Park, and have a nature trail walk to the Bigodi swamp.
This morning, leave Kampala for Kibale Forest and have a lunch stop in the best and healthiest town in Uganda, Fort Portal, for lunch.
Go to the Bigodi village for a swamp walk where you will get a chance of seeing better wildlife like red Colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, blank and white Colobus, baboons, and much more.
Then go to the lodge for dinner and spend a night.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Day.
Get an early start at 7:00 am, have a better breakfast and head to the Kanyanchu tracking centre for a briefing. Join a team for the tracking day, which will include approximately 6 people and a ranger guide. Then enter the forest for a perfect meeting with the wildlife-human primate ape.
Enjoy the chimpanzees while the candle, mount, jump into the wild, and again appreciate the nature of tall forest trees and preserved food of the wild apes. Then, after an hour with the chimps, have lunch and leave for Kampala or Entebbe.
