1 Day Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Tour – If you are visiting Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, you can not miss doing this. The fresh waters of Lake Victoria surround Ngamba Island, which is home to 49 chimpanzees, 20 male and 29 female.

Amongst these 46 Chimps, 3 were lucky enough to be born on the island. The establishment of Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary was primarily to provide shelter for rescued and orphaned chimpanzees.

Details of a 1-day Ngamba Island chimpanzee tour.

It’s either you’re in Kampala or Entebbe. Then we drive to the Entebbe landing, where we set off by 9:00 am and make our way to the sanctuary for a boat cruise of between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours.

On reaching the island, they will equip you with the best information about the chimpanzees and the island.

Testify at the first feeding at 11:30 am, and you will participate by staging on the raised platform and then feeding the chimps.

The second feeding will be at 2:00 pm. These chimps come into an open area to get the appetiser fruits given to them. And they will go ahead to show different skills while capturing the food given to them.

Then, later on, get back on the Boat for the transfers to the mainland and then to your lodge or airport.
